Westcliffe is known for our panoramic mountain views. So, you can imagine how majestic it looks with a dusting of snow over our jagged peaks. Take a stroll through our quaint downtown on a sunny winter day, and you might feel like you’ve been dropped into the scene of a Hallmark Christmas movie.
Not only is the backdrop ideal, so is the weather. Many newcomers are surprised to find winters in Westcliffe to be quite mild with our semi-arid, low-humidity climate.
While snow falls on the valley floor, it usually doesn’t last long.
And yet, you can head up a mountain trail in minutes to play in the snow.
Colorado is, of course, known for skiing. And while Westcliffe isn’t a ski town, for those who enjoy the sport, it’s really the best of both worlds…
Easy access to world-class skiing and jaw-dropping mountain scenery–without the ski town prices (and crazy crowds!)
